US Under-20 dazzler Sal Zizzo will arrive next week to join his new Hannover 96 teammates next week after agreeing to a contract through 2011 with the Bundesliga outfit on Wednesday.

Zizzo becomes the fourth American to join the club, after current defender Steve Cherundolo, Conor Casey and Clint Mathis.

"He has a contract for three years," Die Roten press rep Torsten Grönemeyer told American Soccer Daily. "He will be in Hannover nest week, probably Monday or Tuesday."

In signing with the Reds, the UCLA second team All-American will join fellow San Diego native Cherundolo at the AWD-Arena. In fact, the US right back pitched in to get the free transfer pushed through.

"Stevie helped us very much," 96 director Christian Hochstätter told the club website. "He talked on the phone with Sal's parents."

In five 2007 U-20 World Cup matches, Zizzo notched three assists. The 20-year old finished second in Bruin scoring last season as a sophomore, with seven goals and nine assists.
