Wolff Pleased with US Play

1860 Munich forward Josh Wolff returns to Germany satisfied with both the effort and ambition shown by the US National Team in a 4-2 friendly loss to Brazil on Sunday.

The former Chicago Fire man, who got the start at Soldier Field, claims Bob Bradley's side followed the game plan well and only came up a bit short in the late going.

"At the end of the day, you have to try to take chances going forward," reasoned Wolff. "There were a few times we (caused confusion at the Brazil back), and maybe the final ball wasn't as good as it could have been. I though we handled ourselves well, created some opportunities."

Now the veteran of 49 caps, the Georgia native claims it is always enjoyable to take a crack at the top team in the world, even when the result goes in a predictable direction.

"Who wouldn't like to play against Brazil? Obviously, we got off to a great start and you try to ride that momentum for a little bit," said Wolff.

"They're Brazil, so you know there's going to come times when they have the run of play and they're going to create some great things. They got a couple off of free kicks, so there's not much you can do about those."

Wolff is now back in Munich, where the 2.Bundesliga leaders will put their standing to the test at Alemannia Aachen on Saturday.

"That provides its own challenges," he admitted. "We go right back into a tough game this weekend. Work is work, and hopefully we can continue to get good results."
