A member of the US Under-17 squad and Bradenton Residency program has notched a goal and two assists for the Stars and Stripes in 2007.

The Boston native is relishing the challenge and has his sights firmly gauged on experiencing a different level of play, with decisions looming on a budding young career.

"The trials came about after a number of teams showed interest in me, one of them being FC Twente," Williams told American Soccer Daily. "All of them having seen me play for the U-17's."

"What I'm looking to get out of this experience is the difference between American and European soccer."

During the week-long stint, the increased level of play has already caught the eye of the young defender.

"Since I've been here, I've trained with the first team and you can see that it is a different level," Williams remarked. "This experience will be one that I reflect on as I make future decisions."

"At this point, I'm still young and I'm working on making strong points in my game, but for me to say I have strengths is like me saying that I think that I'm perfect at this or that, and I'm far from that."

"I still need to develop if I plan on making this game my career; I need to improve every time I step out onto a field."
