Aarhus GF attacker Jeremiah White has had his preseason prep put on hiatus after suffering a facial injury in Tuesday's 2-1 friendly loss to FC Midtjylland.

The US international took an elbow to the face in a challenge with FCM's Mikkel Thygesen and came away with three cheekbone fractures.

"He was in the hospital yesterday having an operation," AGF press liaison Christian Holst Haarsløv told American Soccer Daily on Thursday. "He will miss from four to six weeks."

While the injury is certainly no stroke of luck, the club are at least relieved that it occurred no rather than later as they are counting on the American to continue helping the survival push when their SAS Liga slate resumes at AC Horsens on March 16th.

"It's better that it happened now," offered Haarsløv. "He can go running in a one week and then can start doing all the fitness work."

At the midway point of the season, White has notched three assists in 17 league games.
