Kristin Lily scored here 125th career goal and Abby Wambacch her 75th as the US moved their win streak to 11 after beginning the year with consecutive ties.

The US first goal came off of a strong header from Shannon Box who had broken free and latched onto Stephanie Lopez' in-swinger. Keeper Miho Fukomoto had no chance as the shot whistled past inside the right post.

Japanese defender Yukari Kinga gifted the US their second goal when she knocked a loose ball past Fukomoto after Lily managed to redirect a Christie Rampone cross.

On the other side of the half, Lily achieved her 'dollar and a quarter' milestone when she put home a Lori Chalupny pass from eight yards out.

Leslie Osborne had centered from the right side and found Chalupny inside the area. With her back to the goal, she skillfully brought down the ball and found Lily who made it 3-0.

Finally, a little more than 15 minutes later in the 72nd, Wambach earned her diamond milestone with a penalty conversion.

Japan put in a consolation goal in the 79th when Yuki Nagasato fired home an errant clearance attempt from Boxx.

Next up in the Series for the US is New Zealand on August 12th at Soldier Field in Chicago.
