Heather O'Reilly notched three assists to help the Lady 'Nats kick off the year with a big win to leap to the top of tourney standings.

Aside from a Christine Sinclair near miss in the eighth minute, the first half was light on big chances. However, the Americans fine dined on four second half goals, with O'Reilly setting the table.

Six minutes out of intermission, the #9 shirt put in a pinpoint cross for first time US starter Amy Rodriguez to slot home while being pulled down on the play.

In the 65th minute, Rodriguez proved she could even score without getting all of a shot when the alert O'Reilly laid on a priceless cut back.

US sub Tarpley then added the icing, hitting a pair of goals inside of an eight-minute span. The attacker pounced on an O'Reilly rebound in the 71st minute, then deflected home a Rodriguez volley in the 78th.

Starting netminder Hope Solo made two saves to post the clean sheet.

The USWNT continues Four Nations group play against Finland on Friday.
