US Names Roster for Sweden

by Mark Flannery - August 14, 2007

Bob Bradley released the names of the 19 US and Europe based players who will represent the Red, White & Blue versus Sweden on August 22nd in Göteborg, Sweden.

The matchup will be the first in Europe for Bradley, who after beginning his tenure with nine wins against just one loss, followed with a dismal showing in the Copa America losing all three games.

Sweden is in the midst of European Cup qualification and have chosen to name an "A" roster, including Zlatan Ibrahimovic of AC Milan, former Arsenal man Fredrik Ljungberg and Danny Califf's teammate at Aalborg, last season's Danish league sharpshooter, Rada Prica.

The United States have responded in kind with Bradley naming a heavily loaded European side with Steve Cherundolo set make his first appearance since March and new teammate Sal Zizzo earning his first senior callup.

Tickets are still available for the Wednesday night game through both the Swedish FA and US Soccer websites.
