Nowak Set to Continue Qualifying Prep

US Under-23 boss Piotr Nowak has called 24 players to IMG Academies in Bradenton, Florida for a two-week training camp. The players will meet on January 6th as part of continued preparations for Olympic qualifying in March.

Fifteen of the players called are from the pro ranks, with nine from MLS and six from overseas. Nine players have been called form the college ranks, including Pat Phelan and Julian Valentin from NCAA champs Wake Forest.

"With Olympic qualifying only two months way, this camp gives us a great opportunity to continue the work we began last month in China," Nowak told ussoccer.com.

"There is a tremendous amount of competition for spots on the roster and we will continue to evaluate players as we focus on developing a team that can qualify for the Olympic Games."
