Toronto FC have agreed to terms with Norwegian Tippeligaen side Tromsø IL for the loan of 28-year old Canada goalkeeper Kyriakos "Kenny" Stamatopoulos, leaving only a physical in the way for the move.

The Greece-born keeper has three caps for Canada, and has been with Tromsø since the 2006 season. The fan favorite has won two of three starts this season.

"Transfers to the MLS are a little complicated and it has therefore taken some time to arrange everything," Tromsø general manager Morten Kræmer told the club website. "We received the signed version (of the deal) from MLS, so everything is now in order for Kenny to leave."

The deal includes a purchase option, which must be used before November 1st.
