St. Patrick's Athletic forward Ryan Guy kicked off the new FAI Premier League campaign in style, smacking a double to lead the home side past Sligo Rovers 3-1 on Friday night.

After a sluggish opening phase, the Saints fell behind to a Jamie McKenzie strike midway through the first half.

Jamie Harris replied with a 60th goal on his St. Pat's return, settnig up Guy's heroics. The San Diego native quickly nodded home the winner on 65 minutes, then quickly added on with a rasping drive two minutes later.

St. Pat's have little time to celebrate, what with Glentoran coming to Richmond Park on Monday night.
