It was Guy's third goal of the season, and his first since a two-goal performance in the Pats' opener last month.

Guy's goal came in the 11th minute when his low drive got past Ramblers keeper James McCarthy. Guy is tied in second behind teammate Mark Quigley for most goals scored in the league this season.

The Ramblers' first chance came in the 17th minute, but Pat's keeper Barry Ryan saved Kieran O'Reilly's shot. Alan Kearney also had a shot on goal for the Rams in the 27th minute.

Des Byrne almost put the Pats up by two early in the second half, but his shot went off the woodwork.

Cobh continued to look for an equalizer and earned a few corner kicks. Kenny Coleman struck a nice corner that was cleared by David Partridge, and in the 82nd minute, he put in another good corner that was captured by Ryan.
