Oguchi Onyewu and Standard Liège fell to three points behind victorious league leaders Club Brugge thanks to a disappointing scoreless home draw with Roeselare.

The home side generally carried play in a dreary opening period, but only created a few chances.

They came closest to scoring when narrowly missed with a restart header in the 20th minute and Milan Jovanovic should have done better than to shoot wide with free passage just beyond the half hour.

In the 43rd minute, Standard backstop Rory Espinoza kept the match goalless with a fine save on Kenny Thompson free kick.

Things didn't get much more exciting after the break and Igor De Camargo squandered three good looks at goal in the second half.

Les Rouches will now get ready for a big trip to Club Brugge next Sunday.
