The US international damaged ligaments when landing awkwardly during a December 15th loss to Crystal Palace and is expected to be out until February.

"It's still pretty sore and bruised, but it's getting better day by day," Simek told American Soccer Daily. "The physio told me 6-8 weeks."

"Obviously, its disappointing to be out injured and miss games, but all I can do is work hard at my rehab and get back as soon as possible. Fingers crossed, I heal quick."
