ODD MOVE AWAY FROM CELLAR
Nat Borchers and Odd Grenland climbed to 12th on the strength of a 2-0 win over visiting FC Lyn.

The American worked a diligent 90 minutes in central defense for the victors.

The teams traded a few half chances until the Oslo invaders threatened mightily in the 24th minute. Espen Hoff tested Odd keeper Rune A. Jarstein from distance, and he came up with a tip over save.

Eight minutes before the break, Zbynek Pospech opened the scoring after receiving a return feed from Stefan Bärlin.

Like in the first half, Odd followed a top notch Jarstein save with a strike moments later. After their #1 turned away Endre Fotland Knudsen in the 67th minute, the in-form Bärlin bagged one of his own with a quarter hour left.

Substitute Chukwuma Akabueze slipped in the Swede, who wasted no time in burying the 2-0.

Jan Tore Amundsen saw red a minute after coming on for the hosts, but Lyn were unable to turn late pressure into goals.

Scoring
ODD - Zbynek Pospech 4 (Stefan Bärlin) 37'
ODD - Stefan Bärlin 2 (Chukwuma Akabueze) 75'

ODD - Rune A. Jarstein; André Muri, Torjus Hansén, Nat Borchers, Espen Ruud, Tommy Svindal Larsen, Petter Bruer Hansen (Jacob Sørensen 59'), Morten Fevang, Tuomo Könönen, Zbynek Pospech (Chukwuma Akabueze 46'), Stefan Bärlin (Jan Tore Amundsen 79')

FKH HELD AT SARPSBORG

FK Haugesund continued their middling form with a 0-0 bore draw at Sparta Sarpsborg on Sunday.

American striker Cameron Weaver came on for the final half hour and change, but was unable to help his side conjure a winner.

The first half produced very few chances, and several attempts never found their way to net.

Play proved more spirited after the break with a quick rash of cards.

The scoring threats remained few and far between, though, even after Sparta had to make do the last few minutes without ejected defender Hjalmar Johansen.

FKH - Per Morten Kristiansen; Tor Olve Fagnastøl, Andreas Nordvik, Jonas Johansen, Carlos Castro, Svein Tore Brandshaug (Dag Roar Ørsal 58'), Rodolfo Rodrigues, Thor Arne Andreassen, Bjørn Strøm (Stian Dagfinn Johnsen 46'), Michael Antoine Curier (Cameron Weaver 55'), Petter Larsen
