Although a flight delay slowed the finalization, New England attacker Pat Noonan has signed a three-year contract to join former Revs teammate Adin Brown at Aalesund FK.

The St. Louis native was supposed to arrive for a Tangoshirts presentation, but eventually had to fax the signed papers after his connecting flight from the States took off later than expected Wednesday night.

"He wasn't able to come at this time because, with the delay, he missed his flight to Norway - but he is signed," AaFK executive Henrik Hoff told American Soccer Daily on Thursday. "He will be back after he goes with the (US) National Team."

Noonan rang up 37 goals and 29 assists in 119 MLS contests split between forward and wide midfield, a fact not lost on his new employers.

"He is good enough to start," asserted Hoff. "We can use him in both places, but that will be up to the coach, of course."

Aalesund FK, who finished 11th last season, open the 2008 Eliteserien season at Vålerenga on March 30th.
