The American went the distance in midfield and had a hand in the Blue White Vikings late winner.

The hosts carried first half play, but Ari came up short with a couple of half chances and Grétar Steinsson nodded a 45th minute corner kick directly into the arms of Brian Vandenbussche.

Heerenveen picked up their ahead pf the break, with Danijel Pranjic striking the woodwork in the 37th minute.

Gerald Sibon went close midway through the second stanza, whistling a low shot just wide.

Mounir El Hamdaoui also had a prime 76th minute opportunity for AZ, but saw his shot cleared from the line by Michel Breuer.

Just when the match appeared headed for a scoreless draw, the Frisians claimed the only goal in stoppage time after Bradley attempted a shot that was blocked to Pranjic. The Croatia international's try was pushed onto the post, giving Alves an easy tap-in for the winner.

The victory pushed Heerenveen up to 11th place ahead of Saturday’s trip to VVV Venlo.
