BRADLEY HITS 10-MAN WINNER
Michael Bradley scored five minutes into the second half to lift 10-man Heerenveen over home side Vitesse on Sunday afternoon.

The visitors were left shorthanded before the break when top gun Afonso Alves took a backhand swipe at Remco van der Schaaf, drawing red from referee Berry Simons.

The match started off badly for the Frisians, who saw Gerald Sibon squander an early chance before Thomas Prager had to be brough on to replace the injured Geert Arend Roorda.

Brian Vandenbussche helped his side out of a couple of jams with big saves on Haim Magrashvili and Hai Yu.

Alves was sent packing ahead of the pause, but Bradley flipped the game on its ear not long after. The US international collected a Sibon dummy backheel, burst through two defenders to face keeper Piet Velthuizen alone and slotted lefty for the only goal of the day.

The Heerenveen defense did very well to deal with long balls and crosses from the increasingly desparate hosts. Even though Sibon failed on a late breakaway chance, the Frisians had enough of the board to take the points from punchless Vitesse.

Bradley & Co. climb to fourth place on a fifth straight league win, with their next outing a November 24th visit from De Graafschap.

TOP SECOND HALF RULES IN APELDOORN
Charles Kazlauskas opened his season account in three-goal second half TOP Oss barrage that claimed a 4-1 triumph at AGOVV Apeldoorn on Friday night.

The American went his usual 90 minutes at right back as the warming visitors booked their second straight win to move up a spot to 13th.

The scoring began midway through the firts half when AGOVV keeper Raymond Lenting chopped down a free-running Eric Quekel in the area, leading to a cool Dirk Schoofs penalty conversion.

Kazlauskas then cleared a Dries Mertens shot from his line with keeper Wilko de Vogt beaten, but the hosts would level in the 38th minute. Koen Geeritsen wiggled his way into the area to feed Levi Rsiamasu, who squared on to an open Ruud ter Heide for the fatal touch.

TOP took the lead for good past the hour, with second half sub Wouter van den Herik latching onto a long ball on the left flank. The winger picked out Eric Quekel for an easy finish form the slot.

Kazlauskas stretched the lead three minutes later after a perfectly timed run down the right. Dirk Schoofs lobbed the American clear and he made no mistake, beating a clumsy rush off his line by Lenting to slot home.

Van den Herik turned provider from the left again near time, picking out Revy Rosalia at the far post to complete the margin.

The men from Oss return to work with a Friday visit from league leaders RKC Waalwijk.
