BRADLEY CAPS FRISIAN FIGHTBACK
Michael Bradley's second goal of the game completed Heerenveen's second half rally from two goals down to defeat Roda JC 4-3 at the Abe Lenstra on Saturday night.

The US midfielder took his Eredivisie strike total to 15, good enough to place him in a three-way tie for third best in the league.

The home side came out flying, and Roda netminder Bram Castro had to turn away Miralem Sulejmani at the end of a Bradley slip pass in the second minute. Only seconds later, Roy Beerens stung the keeper's hands with a drive from the right channel.

The Kerkrade guests withstood the early pressure and were the first to tally in the 25th minute. Gianni Zuiverloon misjudged a Cheik Ismael Tioté lob feed, allowing Roland Lamah to chest down and beat Rob van Dijk far side.

Just a moment later, Lamah turned provider by picking out Jeanvion Yulu-Matondo between two defenders for a firm header that doubled the away advantage.

Bradley got his side on the board in the 34th minute, controlling a Gerald Sibon feed in the middle of the box to beat the stranded Castro.

Willem Janssen restored Roda's two-goal edge only three minutes later, kissing home an Anouar Hadouir free kick at the far post.

Roy Beerens could have replied just before the break, only to volley a Danijel Pranjic cross over from the doorstep.

Gertjan Verbeek made two changes at halftime, and one of them paid almost immediate dividends. Paulo Henrique, who replaced a limping Gerald Sibon, sliced into the lead in the 47th minute from a shrewd Michael Dingsdag assist.

Four minutes later, Beerens sparked a rush by running the right, then finished the play by rifling home from a sharp angle to bring the hosts level.

Just past the hour, Bradley bagged the winner. A poorly cleared corner kick was deflected high into the air on the return and the American executed a perfect one-timer on the full pivot to lash home his 19th goal of the campaign across all competitions.

Bradley could have notched his second hat trick of the term with seven minutes left, but he flashed a corner kick header inches wide.

After encroaching Roda defender Jan-Paul Saeijs fired wide in the waning moments, the Blue White Vikings were able to close the wild victory out.

The win gives Heerenveen a tentative hold on third place, with a Saturday visit from second place Ajax set for next Saturday.

TOP BESTED IN VOLENDAM
Volendam ran out clear 3-0 winners on Friday night, all but ending any hope of a TOP Oss period title run to the finish.

Charles Kazlauskas worked all 90 minutes for the visitors, who have now just one win in eight.

Davy Zafarin spurned a golden chance to put TOP ahead in the 21st minute, nodding wide with the goal at his disposal on muffed corner kick coverage.

Eight minutes later, Mathieu Boots punished that wastefulness with a close range header to put "The Other Oranje" in the driver seat.

After Eric Quekel came up empty on a one-on-one with the Volendam keeper, Boy Deul redirected a Jack Tuyp center to double the home advantage in the 41st minute.

Tuyp closed the scoring himself, capping a counterattack in the 62nd minute with his league best 22nd goal of the season.

TOP will now travel to Veendam on Friday night.
