HERACLES FIGHTS BACK TWICE
Heerenveen were caught from behind two times by home side Heracles Almelo as a 2-2 road draw on Saturday night dropped the Frisians from second to fifth place.

Michael Bradley took his usual place in midfield for the visitors, but saw his goal run halted at six games and picked up a yellow card on a late challenge that will see him miss the next match.

The away team opened the scoring after 17 minutes when Gerald Sibon put a no-look touch to Danijel Pranjić's pass, allowing Roy Beerens to run on for a delicate chip shot over the reach of Heracles keeper Martin Pieckenhagen and in.

A scant moment later, Heracles were back to even as Heerenveen loan item Gonzalo García García scored on a fine individual effort.

The guests were back in front on the half hour as Miralem Sulejmani applied a clinical downward header to Beerens' excellent cross from the right.

Bradley had a couple of cracks at a third for the club, but a 40th minute blast flew straight at the keeper and he later narrowly missed the far top corner with a long curler.

Just before the break, Heracles were left to rue their finishing when Srdjan Lakić struck the woodwork from a good position and Everton somehow managed to put the rebound wide.

The home side would finally knot the match up with 10 minutes remaining as substitute Robbert Schilder gathered a Lakić lay-off to hammer a perfectly placed shot inside the near post from 20 meters.

The result was still up for grabs when Rahim Ouedraogo was sent off in the late going for a reckless tackle, but the best Heerenveen could muster in the time left was an ignored handball penalty gripe.

The Blue White Vikings will now return to Abe Lenstra to face NEC Nijmegen next Sunday afternoon.

ZWOLLE CAVE IN NINE-MAN TOP
TOP Oss suffered their first setback of the Jupiler League period with a 4-2 loss to visiting FC Zwolle on Friday night.

Charles Kazlauskas worked the full contest in right midfield and won a penalty for his side.

After Dirk Schoofs had a close range chance smothered at one end, Tozé gave Zwolle the lead after only five minutes. A long ball to Marcel Kleizen left the backline flat-footed and he played a simple square for the striker to convert.

In the 23rd minute, Yvo van Engelen was shown red for being a little too handsy on Tozé as last man back in the area, but Wilko de Vogt was able to stop the ensuing Jordy Zuidam spot kick.

Shortly thereafter, the hosts were put two men down as Brahim Bouhadan picked up his second silly booking of the game.

With eight minutes left in the period, however, TOP drew level when Schoofs dutifully buried a spot kick after Kazlauskas had been bowled over from behind in the Zwolle eighteen.

Not content to even the score, the captain bagged his second four minutes later from a sharp angle thanks to some sloppy free kick netminding by Diedrick Boer.

TOP held onto the lead for over a half an hour, but the jig was finally up in the 73rd minute when Tozé kissed home after fine wing work from Derk Boerrigter.

Four minutes later, Albert van den Haar collected a corner kick punch and hit the target from range to put Zwolle ahead to stay.

After missing one chance to gain his hat trick by hitting the post, Tozé eventually completed it with an easy tap-in near time.

TOP, who must regroup quickly for a tricky trip to Den Bosch on Monday, now stand two points behind virtual period pacesetter Zwolle with a game in hand.
