FRISIANS STORMED AT HET KASTEEL
Heerenveen missed the chance to lock down a top five finish with a stunning 4-2 collapse at Sparta Rotterdam, who secured their Eredivisie status with the comeback.

Michael Bradley notched an assist during his 90 minutes, but was foiled on two attempts at his 16th league goal of the season.

It all started so well for the visitors on Sunday afternoon, with Danijel Pranjic breaking the ice on 13 minutes from a clever diagonal through ball from Bradley.

A minute before the break, a criminally unmarked Gerald Sibon doubled the lead by heading home a corner kick.

The tide started to turn 10 minutes out of intermission when Charles Dissels collected a weak clearance at the top of the box and promptly fired it through a crowd to beat Frisians keeper Rob van Dijk.

Eight minutes later, scorer turned provider as Dissels capped a three-on-one break by teeing up Nourdin Boukhari for the equalizer with a measured deep cross.

Ten minutes after pulling level, Sparta took their first lead when Gianni Zuiverloon foolishly handled in the area to facilitate a Sjaak Polak spot kick slam dunk.

Marvin Emnes sealed the deal, applying a fine last touch to another wise Dissels serve from the right.

Heerenveen were fortunate enough to remain in fifth place due to Feyenoord's surprise loss to Willem II. The Blue White Vikings will wrap their regular season slate with a Sunday visit from relegation bait Excelsior.

TOP INCHES CLOSER TO PLAYOFFS
Continuing a meteoric climb up the period, TOP Oss moved into to good position to nab the final promotion playoff berth with a 1-0 win at 10-man RBC Roosendaal on Friday night.

Charles Kazlauskas started the match in right midfield, then slid to the backline when Bart van Hintum hobbled off midway through the opening period.

Not long after replacing his injured teammate, Brahim Bouhadan bagged his first TOP goal after Aziz Moutawakil intercepted in the RBC end to set him up with a curled low cross to the far post.

The visitors enjoyed the better of the play after the break and RBC seemed to seal their evening's fate when Petr Dragoun was sent off for a second booking in the 68th minute.

TOP will close the season needing a win and a little help to surpass virtual period leader Omniworld. One point shy of the frontrunners, the Men from Oss close their regular season with a Friday visit from lowly derby rivals FC Eindhoven.
