The American will take his usual place in central midfield for the visitors, who are riding a three-match winless streak.

The Blue White Vikings will arrive with several roster concerns, including top gun Afonso Alves, who is out of the side while he searches for a new club. Netminder Brian Vandenbussche, center back Kristian Bak-Nielsen and wide man Jakob Poulsen are all in doubt, while Andre Hanssen remains out and Michel Breuer is suspended.

The hosts will be missing Peter Kopteff and Etienne Shew-Atjon to injuries, while Francis Dickoh is set to depart for African Cup of Nations duty with Ghana.

Heerenveen have only scored twice on their last four visits to Nieuw Galgenwaard, losing three against one win.
