FRISIANS EASE PAST NAC
Heerenveen snapped a four-game win drought, cooling off red-hot visitors NAC Breda with a 3-0 defeat at the Abe Lenstra on Saturday night.

Michael Bradley played the full 90 in midfield as the Blue White Vikings climbed a spot to fifth in the table.

The US international had an early look at goal from a Roy Beerens cross, but nodded over from close range.

Shortly after Gerald Sibon had a long drive pushed away by NAC keeper Jelle ten Rouwelaar, the Frisians got on the board. With Bradley the intended target on a Sibon flick across the goalmouth, Patrick Mtiliga bundled the ball into his own net.

Six minutes later, Miralem Sulejmani raced forward with a Danijel Pranjić through ball to slot home the second.

The Yellow Army then failed twice on the doorstep to enter intermission down a pair.

After NAC came up empty on another close range double chance, Sulejmani drove the final coffin nail by depositing a splitting Sibon pass into the net.

Heerenveen will now make the short trip to face arch rivals FC Groningen in Friday night's nationally televised game of the week.

RKC HOLDS DOWN TOP
TOP Oss suffered a top notch performance from Jupiler League frontrunners RKC Waalwijk, dropping a 3-0 decision at Mandemakers on Friday night.

Charles Kazlauskas worked the full route in right midfield as the visitors stumbled out of the gate in the final league period.

Chances were few and far between for TOP, despite carrying play for the opening half hour. Conversely, RKC threatened seemingly at will for the final hour.

Fred Benson broke the ice on the stroke of halftime, converting at the end of a Ferne Snoyl restart delivery.

Two minutes out of halftime, RKC doubled when Tim Bakens bagged a loose ball in the area.

With TOP providing little resistance, Benson piled on late by pouncing on a Luwamo Garcia rebound.

The Men from Oss will have a fast chance to recover when Go Ahead Eagles come to town on Monday.

RKC - Fred Benson 7 (Ferne Snoyl) 45'
RKC - Tim Bakens 2 47'
RKC - Fred Benson 8 87'
