Nguyen Healing Back Home

PSV Eindhoven attack prodigy Lee Nguyen will return to the team next week after spending some time nursing his ankle nag in the States.

The US international, who has failed to make a single first team appearance under coach Ronald Koeman despite starting the Young PSV season with some star displays, is expected to rejoin full training in early October.

"He went home for 10 days, he is in America at the moment," Farmers physician Ben Aafts told American Soccer Daily on Thursday afternoon. "He is coming back Monday."

"With the injury in his ankle, the problem is stability. We think he can be fit in 2-3 weeks. He asked if he could go home for a time, and we thought it would be good if he could be with his family a little while."

Nguyen appeared to be headed out on loan to another Eredivisie club before the August 31st transfer deadline, but the untimely setback means he will again try to break into Koeman's selection upon his return to fitness.

After making his league debut under Guus Hiddink during the 2005/06 season, the former Indiana Hoosier has remained in the second team for over a year.
