After bagging an NM Cup hat trick over the weekend, Cameron Weaver unfroze his league account with the opener in a 3-1 FK Haugesund victory at Mandalskameratene on Wednesday night.

The American wasted little time in putting the guests ahead. After forcing a tip-around save from Bjørn Arild Hovstøl mere seconds after kickoff, Weaver allowed the statuesque MK backline to watch him turn home a Petter Larsen cross in the sixth minute.

Moments after Weaver narrowly missed high, Espen Hægeland evened the match by dialing long distance just ahead of the half hour.

Haugesund re-applied pressure, with both Bjørn Strøm and Larsen coming close, but it was Elias Storm who was able to bury a sharp angle header from a corner kick on the edge of halftime.

Weaver fired narrowly over on a couple of second half chances at an insurance tally, which would finally be had when Tor Erik Moen deposited a 25-meter blast with five minutes to play.

The win nudges FKH up to eight place ahead of Saturday's visit from Ham-Kam.
