American forward Jemal Johnson wasted no time in attack, earning a corner kick in the fourth minute. Colin Cameron took the kick and found Aaron Wilbraham, whose header was saved easily by keeper Joe Lewis.

In the 12th minute, Johnson stole the ball from Posh defender Chris Westwood and went down the right side. He got the ball to Cameron, who then found an unmarked Wilbraham. His strike from six yards out found the bottom left of the goal to put Dons up 1-0.

They did not keep the lead for long as Peterborough equalized in the 27th minute. Dean Keates chipped a ball to the far post and Chris Whelpdale came in with a diving header which found the bottom right corner of the goal.

Johnson may have had a chance only minutes later, but he was tripped by Claude Gnakpa, the French defender receiving a yellow card. About 10 minutes later, Johnson received the ball in the box, but Lewis came out to smother.

Johnson could have put Dons ahead early in the first half when he was one-on-one with Westwood, but the former Hartlepool United defender was able to steal the ball away.

Just before the final whistle, Wilbraham received the ball in the box off a long throw in from Jude Stirling. He got the ball to Gallen, whose left-footed shot from 10-yards out flew wide of the post.

The Dons stay top with a game in hand before traveling Accrington Stanley on Monday.
