Szetela Debuts in Cup Draw

US international Danny Szetela made his Racing Santander debut in a scoreless Copa del Rey draw at Málaga on Wednesday night.

The midfielder started and was replaced on 66 minutes by Gonzalo Colsa as the Verdiblancos kicked off their round of 32 tie with a road share. During his time on the park, Szetela completed 20 passes and executed a pair of stealing tackles.

Racing had several chances to break the deadlock, with Mohammed Tchité narrowly missing the target and Jordi denied by a stunning Francesc Arnau save.

The teams will reunite for the second leg in Santander on January 2nd.
