The 22-year old from Toms River, New Jersey has put pen to paper on a one-year deal which will see him join the third place club from the 2007 Eircom standings.

"I am very excited and extremely honored to become part of such a fabled club like Bohs," said Konopka in a statement. "The whole organization has treated me first class ever since I arrived in Dublin."

"I'm going to work hard every day and contribute in whatever way I can to help Bohs take home a league championship this season and to help us advance far into all the Cups and European competitions that we will play in. I think the team will be very competitive this year, All the guys have a great attitude."

Konopka also had training stints at several other clubs, including Championship club Cardiff City and League One side Walsall. The 6'5" goalkeeper arrived at Bohemians in January for the Irish club's preseason camp, and after a month training with the club, was offered a contract.

Bohemians begin their 2008 campaign on March 7th with a league game against Galway. The Gypsies will feature in European competition this year as they wait to learn their Intertoto Cup opponent.
