The veteran keeper suffered the injury in training after having claimed the starting job from Antti Niemi, and admits he is gutted by the setback.

"I just wanted to make my name here and I was doing that until I suffered this cruel injury," said Keller. "I feel absolutely destroyed."

"It started hurting after training and just got worse. It is hugely disappointing because things were going so well - then something like this comes along and I have to start all over again."

“I will probably be out for three to four months. It is a big setback. If surgery is the only option then I will have to go that route — and it is looking likely."

Keller has started three matches for the Cottagers this season, allowing three goals with a win, a loss and a draw.
