Tighe Dombrowski went the distance at left back and picked up an assist on the opening goal for IKS.

Sirius began the game on the back foot and went behind fairly to Sundsvall when Tobias Eriksson headed home a cross from Arash Bayat in the ninth minute.

The goal seemed to jump start the hosts and Sirius soon were back level after a gorgeous goal in the 21st minute. Dombrowski was the supplier when he brought the ball up the left flank and fed Andreas Eriksson with a crisp pass. Eriksson beat his markers, his last with a nutmeg, and blasted in at the far post.

Sirius kept up the hunt for the go-ahead goal and it was well deserved when it came in the 55th minute. GIF keeper Fredrik Sundfors did well to keep out a Daniel Hoch shot, but the rebound fell to Eriksson who faked out his marker and fired into the roof of the net to give Sirius the 2-1 lead.

IKS continued their press and Eriksson went close to his hat trick as Sundfors somehow kept out his attempted lob. Sirius notched a total of 13 shots in the second half, and was finally rewarded for their hard work when newly subbed in Marcus Palmqvist, clinically buried another rebound after faking out both his marker and Sundfors.

Sirius occupy seventh place out of 16 teams with four games left and travel to league leaders IFK Norrköping, who can secure the second division title with a victory.
