The 1-1 share allowed the Superettan newcomers to maintain a second place standing, four points off of Norrköping’s lead pace after eight games. For Dombrowski, it was his first goal of the young campaign, and a rare treat for the starting left back.

"Getting a goal is always nice and it's good when you can make that contribution, especially as I don't get that many chances,” he told American Soccer Daily. "It's nice to finish one when it comes."

"We had a corner and I was the last man back," recalled the Wisconsin native. "The ball got cleared out and I got under it and controlled it with my thigh, then touched it forward so it rolled and just decided to have a go."

"I hit it pretty good with a bit of swerve on it, and fortunately it went in."

Sirius are winless in their last three league road trips, but will return home Monday to face early strugglers Landskrona. After that, the Uppsala crew will visit fourth place Sundsvall and host the leaders in an important five-day span.

"I think that we'll be able to stay in touch with the leaders," Dombrowski stated. "We will be tested coming up with games against Norrköping and a tough one away to Sundsvall, but if we stay focused and take points in both of those we'll be in good shape."
