AGF Through to Cup Final 16

With Jeremiah White on the field for the full 90 minutes, Aarhus GF qualified for the final 16 of the Danish Cup with a 2-0 away win over second division side Thisted FC at Lerpytter Stadion on Wednesday afternoon.

The visitors scored the opening goal in the 28th minute when Peter Graulund took full advantage of a defensive mistake and knocked the ball in the net from close range.

Nineteen minutes after halftime, Kári Árnason fired a shot from the edge of the box. White put his deflection into the net, but the goal was disallowed for offside.


Ten minutes before time, however, a lob from Peter Foldgast sent Lars Pleidrup clean through on goal to make it 2-0.

Esbjerg fB Backup keeper Tally Hall watched from the bench as his teammates beat second division side Værløse BK 4-1 to qualify for the next round of the Danish Cup.
