ESBJERG ROLL THROUGH VIBORG
Viborg remain without points after their second game of the season resulted in a 5-0 home defeat to Esbjerg on Sunday afternoon.

Robbie Russell replaced Lasse Kryger in the Viborg defense in the 86th minute, while Esbjerg back-up keeper Tally Hall watched the entirety from the bench.

Rajko Lekic opened the scoring in the 28th minute after a poor clearance from Viborg keeper John Alvbåge.

The hard-fighting home team continued to keep the game close well into the second half, but after 71 minutes, substitute Anders Nøhr received a cross at the back post to make it 2-0.

Lekic made it three in the 77th minute after a cross from Jesper Lange, and only four minutes later, Nøhr added his second with a shot from the edge of the box. Lekic completed his hat trick in injury time to make it 5-0.

With no points or goals, Viborg have nowhere to go but up when they meet champions FC Copenhagen away next weekend, while Esbjerg defend their first place standing at home against AGF Aarhus.

ODENSE RAID NRGI FOR POINTS
Returning to top flight soccer is proving difficult for AGF Aarhus, who fell 2-0 at home to Odense BK on Sunday evening.

Jeremiah White made a good showing up front for the home side before being replaced in the 70th minute by Razak Salifu.

The game was 28 minutes old when Jonas Borring found an unmarked Johan Absalonsen, who had no problem sending the ball in behind AGF keeper Steffen Rasmussen.

The visitors kept the game under control, and in the 82nd minute, substitute Mads Timm made it 2-0 after another cross from Borring.

With losses in the first two games, AGF find themselves in 10th place before next weekend's match-up at Esbjerg.
