The agent for World Cup 2002 champ Denílson says his client has handed favored suitors FC Dallas some notes on their contract offer and is hoping to get a positive reply this weekend.

The unsettled Al-Nassar attacker has other offers on the table, but has placed the MLS side at the top of the heap.

"The situation is still open," Antonio Barrera assured American Soccer Daily on Wednesday. "At the moment, we are having discussions about the contract, and are waiting on a reply.

"Of course, we have spoken with other clubs, but the player prefers to play in Dallas."

Before any Denílson capture could take place, however, the Pizza Hut Park outfit would need to shed one of its current Senior International slot - a group that is comprised of Pablo Ricchetti, Carlos Ruiz, Marcelo Saragosa and Adrian Serioux.
