The former Brazil ace becomes the fourth player in league history to sign having won a World Cup, his title celebrations coming in 2002. He is slated to be presented by the club on Friday.

"I want to thank all the people that helped make this happen with FC Dallas," said Denílson, who had been in talks with FCD since June. "It is something that took many days, but in the end came out well. I am anxious to get started playing, and to join a team that is in a good position in the league."

The former Bordeaux and Real Betis dribble wizard is expected to available to coach Steve Morrow for the team's September 1st home game with DC United.

First, Denílson must receive work visa clearance and the club will need to open a Senior International slot. With Thursday's capture of Iowa-born Colombian holding midfielder Sebastián Botero, a Marcelo Saragosa trade is expected to be the clearing move.
