Maybe it was something in the air, but the Rapids won't be holding their breath. The win over the Eastern Conference leaders was second in a row - some relief after a ten-game winless streak. They bounced back with a persistence that far outshined their opponent, out-shooting the Revolution 17-5.

The first of three goals came in the 10th minute when Jovan Kirovski found the back of the net after Conor Casey's shot was deflected.

The Rapids continued to penetrate the Revolution defense until the 41st minute, when Kirovski earned his second with a penalty shot won by Colin Clark against Jay Heaps.

The Revolution's usually-tight defense was unable to prevent the Rapids from passing the ball well and creating constant opportunity. This was best demonstrated with Omar Cummings' first MLS goal in the 76th minute as Clark's assist from midfield couldn't have been better placed.

While, no other goals were scored, the Rapids continued their aggressive attack. Colorado continues to trail the playoff positions, but with their recent wins have shown an unwillingness to give up - and as a result, some beautiful soccer.
