The seven English clubs with Americans remaining in the League Cup have discovered their foes for the third round, with Frank Simek and Tim Howard drawn against each other.

Simek's Sheffield Wednesday sit bottom of the Championship, but will tackle the Toffees at Hillsborough for a place in the last 16.

Blackburn, Fulham and Reading have all been drawn at home against Premier League opposition, with the Royals' Madejski clash against Liverpool standing out.

Jonathan Spector's West Ham will be confident of advancing past Plymouth, 11th in the Championship, while Cory Gibbs' Charlton also face lower league opposition, away to League One Luton.
