The US international will play out his current AaB deal as the table toppers fight to clinch a league title in the home stretch. Califf will officially begin the next chapter of his career on July 1st.

"We have followed him for some time now, and we are happy to have added one of the biggest defensive profiles in the SAS Liga," FC Midtjylland GM Jens Ørgaard told the club website.

His current club have not been willing to meet Califf's contract
demands, but Midtjylland will be parting with many of their defensive players and see him as an important addition to the squad.

"We have a lot of young players at FC Midtjylland," Ørgaard said. "So apart from being a presence in the central defense, we also believe that Danny Califf will be one of the more experienced role models in the squad."
