Brown Battling Injury Nag

by Johannes de Jong - September 6, 2007

With his club in a fight to rebound following a 7-0 thrashing at the hands of league title chasers Lillestrøm, Aalesund FK keeper Adin Brown is in a struggle of his own: regaining fitness to reassume his role between the posts.

The California native missed the following match against Lyn Oslo through injury in what turned out to be a resurgent 3-1 win for his side.

"I'm not 100% fit at the moment," Brown told American Soccer Daily. "I probably came back too early and re-aggravated my groin."

"I'm not in full training right now, but maybe next week. The good thing is that we don't have a game until next week."

Despite also needing to recover from the Lillestrøm thrashing, Brown remains defiantly upbeat.

"Of course it's hard, but it's only one game in the season," the netminder remarked. "It was kind of a blow to our confidence and lit a fire under our asses, but we'll bounce back."

"One of our coaches made a good point that I'd rather lose 7-0 once than 1-0 seven times."

Next up for the former New England Rev is a home clash against 11th place Strømsgodset after the conclusion of the international break.
