US speedster DaMarcus Beasley is back in full training for Scottish Premier League title chasers Glasgow Rangers, but the club would not yet comment on whether he will be part of the squad that faces Zenit St. Petersburg in the UEFA Cup Final on Wednesday May 14th.

"We just cannot confirm at this time that he will be in the squad or not," a Rangers spokesperson told American Soccer Daily. "But he is fit and back in training."

The Indiana native was enjoying a strong start for the Glasgow giants until he tore right knee ligaments in a Champions League group match at VfB Stuttgart last November. He spent considerable time away from the team rehabilitating the injury back in the States.

The USMNT winger's fitness could not come at a better time for the Ibrox side, who due to earlier cancellations of SPL matches, face playing five games in the next two weeks. Compare that with the Russian side they are facing in Manchester next week, who had their entire league schedule postponed up until the UEFA Cup Final.

Rangers recently had a request to postpone Saturday's match against Dundee United rejected by the SPL, and the Scottish Football Association also rejected the Glasgow's side request to have the Scottish Cup final moved from May 24th, prompting chairman David Murray to call Scottish football a "laughingstock" in the local press.
