According to German reports, the transfer fee for the US Under-20 World Cup squad member will cost The Old Lady around $300,000.

With all final paperwork expected get the applicable rubber stamps before the close of business on Friday, the Blue-Whites are looking ahead with Arguez in the first team.

"It's almost done," Hertha press officer Robert Burkhardt told American Soccer Daily. "Everything is signed, we are waiting on the paperwork from America."

Arguez has gone 90 minutes in his first two winter friendlies, and is not currently being considered for the Under-23 Regionalliga side.

"He's already training with the first team," said Burkhardt. "He'll be in the team when we play Kaiserslautern on Saturday."

UPDATE: Hertha have sealed the deal for Arguez, who is now signed until the summer of 2011.
