Aarhus GF are yet to find the back of the net in 2008 as Sunday's goalless draw against Horsens was followed up on Thursday afternoon with another against Randers FC in front of 13,761 spectators at NRGi Arena.

AGF's Jeremiah white came on for an injured Lars Pleidrup in the 41st minute, while an anonymous Lee Nguyen played the first 70 minutes for Randers before being replaced by Kenneth Møller Pedersen. Will John watched from Randers bench.

It was the home side who seemed most intent on making up for Sunday's goalless draw at Horsens, but the only highlight of the first 45 was a missed chance midway through the half by Peter Graulund, who eventually came off injured eight minutes before the break.

Five minutes into the second half, White sent a cross to the far post, but the finish from Alex Valencia lacked accuracy.

A good shot by Anders Kure would have broken the deadlock a few minutes later, but a good save by Randers keeper Kevin Stuhr-Ellegaard kept it even.

It was Tidiane Sane who had the best chance for Randers in the 61st minute, but his shot went over the crossbar.

Peter Foldgast, who replaced Graulund, took a shot from the edge of the box with 15 minutes to go and Valencia was open on the left a few minutes later, but both attempts were saved by Stuhr-Ellegaard and the scoreline remained unchanged.

AGF takes another small step away from the relegation line as rivals Viborg recorded another loss. They travel to Odense on Sunday afternoon.

Randers drop from sixth to eight in the table behind Esbjerg and FC Nordsjælland, who beat FC Copenhagen and Viborg, respectively. They host Esbjerg on Sunday afternoon.
