Week 25

▪ ASD Match Report: Fire Draws NY
▪ MLS Deadline Day Moves

#1 DC United
(Unchanged) - Another week, another win for United as they are now just one point shy of 50 for the season. Luciano Emilio has distanced himself from other candidates for the MVP Award. Emilio was expected to have a good season, but there aren't many people who would have guessed he would score 20 league goals.

#2 Chivas USA (Unchanged) - Four points in two games has Chivas USA just one point behind the Dynamo. Houston has played two more games, so expect the Goats to leapfrog Houston into first place over the next couple of weeks. Currently, the Maykel Galindo-Ante Razov forward combination may be the best in MLS.

#3 New England Revolution (Unchanged) - New England continues to push forward with another victory this time over Dallas. The Revolution continue to play strong soccer and are a good bet to surpass 50 points for the season. Taylor Twellman is having another strong season with 12 goals and three assists.

#4 Houston Dynamo (Unchanged) - It's hard to get excited about a two-goal victory over Los Angeles, but a goal and an assist from Dwayne De Rosario and a goal from Ricardo Clark shows that Houston's key players are returning to form as they playoffs near.

#5 New York Red Bulls (+1) - A solid result in Chicago has solidified the Red Bulls chances at making the playoffs. A huge game this weekend with New England will give the Red Bulls an opportunity to make a push for the two seed in the East.

#6 FC Dallas (-1) - Just a month ago, Dallas signed Denílson and looked to be the best in the West. Now, Dallas are swooning and will probably be the third seed in the Western Conference playoffs.

#7 Kansas City Wizards
(+1) - A huge win at home over Columbus has all but assured the Wizards of their first playoff appearance since 2004. Eddie Johnson continued his fine season with another goal, but the big question looming over the franchise is will Johnson stay in Kansas City or bolt for Europe in the offseason?

#8 Chicago Fire (-1) - A tough 2-2 draw with New York has Chicago holding onto the final playoff position by a thread. This could be a make or break week for Chicago as they travel to Dallas on Thursday and host DC United Sunday in nationally televised games.

#9 Colorado Rapids
(-1) - A solid tie against Chivas USA on Sunday has the Rapids just one point out of the final playoff spot. The Rapids could jump back into the eighth position when they travel to Real Salt Lake on Saturday.

#10 Columbus Crew (Unchanged) - A devastating 3-2 loss to Kansas City appears to be the nail in the coffin of the Crew's season. They held the lead into second half stoppage time, but two late goals from the Wizards quickly switched the scoreline. Perhaps it is time for the Crew to look in a different direction to lead their club?

#11 Real Salt Lake (Unchanged) - Jason Kreis is building a great young nucleus of talent in Salt Lake City. At the trade deadline, Kreis acquired Yura Movsisyan from the Wizards. With Robbie Findley, Chris Seitz, Nathan Sturgis and now Movsisyan, RSL has the best collection of young talent in Major League Soccer.

#12 Toronto FC (+1) - A 0-0 tie against Real Salt Lake is better than a loss. Toronto is facing the season ending blues which have effected most expansion teams in their first year.

#13 Los Angeles Galaxy (-1) - As bad as Toronto has been, the Galaxy were outscored 6-1 in two losses to Chivas USA and Houston last week.
